The Starfish Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) youth development agency established to strengthen the lives of at-risk youth through programs and activities that foster ethical, social, physical and intellectual development.

An old man is walking along the beach when he sees a young boy throwing a starfish into the sea.
As the man gets closer, he realizes the tide has washed thousands of the creatures onto the beach.
The boy continues to slowly toss them into the sea, one by one.
The old man says, "This beach is covered with starfish. Do you really think what you are doing will make a difference?"
The boy picks up another starfish and throws it back into the water.
Without a second thought, he replies, "It makes a difference to
this one."
